Savannah Sailboat Engagement Session

Alex and Jordan are getting married this February at The Westin. We were introduced by their talented planner and styler, Tara Skinner. They are using loads of color for their wedding, so Tara knew we would be a perfect fit for each other! Alex is also a SCAD graduate, and we were able to bond over loving a colorful aesthetic and having a strong visual eye. When she told me they loved the water, I knew a sailboat engagement session with Sail Savannah would be perfect!

Sailboat Engagement Session

With Sail Savannah, you start on Wilmington Island, which is just outside of downtown Savannah. So, this is the perfect option for those looking to do their shoot in Savannah, but they want something on the water and more unique! You can rent the private charter hourly, so you have plenty of time to enjoy the view and get some gorgeous pictures. And if you’re lucky, you might get to see a bottlenose dolphin! With Alex and Jordan, we were able to get some beautiful and romantic pictures of them on the bow of the boat. They even brought along their sweet pup for the ride!

Fun and Colorful Photoshoot

For their engagement session, Alex and Jordan chose to include pops of orange, which was so fun and perfect for this couple. For the first half, Alex wore a beautiful orange dress from Snappy Turtle. It had so many ruffles and looked perfect in the wind. Some of my favorite images are of Alex and Jordan on the bow, and Alex’s dress is just flowing behind her. For the second half of the shoot, she changed into a white dress but added lots of pops of orange with her earrings, scarf, and rattan wine basket.
