Strickland Family | Mackey House Maternity and Family Session

Rachel is a fellow wedding vendor and a sweet friend of mine! I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Rachel and Jordan so many times over the years. From a love session on the beach at sunset to family pictures to these cutie maternity pictures, it’s always great to work with them. Rachel and I have been industry friends forever, and I’ve been able to document her and Jordan’s continued love story. I have just loved watching her family grow, so it was amazing to be able to work with her on her Mackey House maternity session.

Wedding Industry Friends

I first became friends with Rachel when she was a photographer in Savannah. I’ve gotten to know Jordan over the years through our many torturous photoshoots (hehehe!). Now, I work with them both in the wedding industry. The couple owns Savannah Vintage and Event Rentals, which is one of the best rental companies in town!

Mackey House Maternity Session

I’m so glad this couple chose The Mackey House for their maternity and family session! This wedding venue is in downtown Savannah, but it still gives you a unique garden feel and the kind of space you hardly ever get downtown. Not only can you have weddings and events here, but you can also use the space for portrait sessions. This was the perfect space because their daughters were able to run around, and we got to use the endless gardens as a backdrop.

Since they already have two gorgeous girls, they have wanted to have a baby boy for so long. Now, baby Jackson is here! I can’t wait to show some sneak peeks of his newborn session!

I feel so lucky to have Rachel and Jordan as not only business friends but real-life friends as well! Their Mackey House maternity session was so much fun, and I cannot wait to get into little boy shenanigans together!
