What happens when you gather the best wedding professionals the lowcountry has to offer, put them all in one place and give them the challenge of putting on a fabulous fake wedding? You get more pretty than the eyes can bear! I hope you’re ready for this one cuz its a doozy!
The Not Wedding in Charleston took place at the Historic Rice Mill Building – a gorgeous waterfront venue.
You’ll get a full list of participating vendors at the end of the post but here are just a few of my favorite tables: Liddabits Design Shop – who designs the most darling banners and flags – you’ll remember her work from the garden bridal luncheon shoot.Angela Cox Photography and Lowcountry Wedding Films. Their video from the event can be seen here.Ever Thine Vintage and Pastel – Makeup and Hair – both of which also helped me with the bridal luncheon shoot! Love them!Miss Wyolene – killer stationary, invitation and paper goods designer! And of course French Knot Studios and Izzy Hudgins Photography – we were neighbors at the show, naturally. The day started with the stylists styling, the cast getting their hair and makeup done and the photographers capturing all the prepping and all the details. I started with the custom made vests, bow ties and flower girl dress by French Knot Studios. The amazing dress was provided by Fabulous Frocks – it was a frothy, feathery thing that we all just drooled over! One of my favorite details was the loose lavender table runner so lovingly created by Ever Thine Vintage. The florals selected were out of this world! Aren’t they so lovely and happy and delicate and sweet!? I’m seriously obsessed with the flower on the right – I want that thing in my life on a daily basis. We could not have gotten a better cast to be a part of The Not Wedding Charleston – LaBruce is the sweetest, most joyous person I’ve had the pleasure of photographing – her expressions are to die for – and she was just so giddy all day, you’d think it was her real wedding! Her besties were at her side and were also supremely gorgeous!Like I said, this girl’s facial expressions were just fabulous! The amazing invitation suite by Miss Wyolene. I love all the little nods to the South – like the wisteria and Faulkner quote!Cupcake created an amazing dessert table. I couldn’t get over the little signs for each sweet – love how they hang out of little terrariums!!
Ashley Nicole Events, Statice Floral Couture, Ever Thine Vintage and Mimi Nicole Events were all responsible for the table and lounge decor. They did an incredible job! Each photographer got 45 minutes to photograph the cast – I’ll admit, I felt the pressure! But these kids are so super fun and chill that photographing them was easy peasy!Love.these.girls.And sidenote, Suzie of Statice is simply AHMAZING. I mean look at these bouquets!!!!! Freaking amazing. Also, how great are these necklaces that drape down the back? Thanks to French Knot Studios, the guys look dapper in their custom vests, suspenders and bow ties.
LaBruce and Harrison are real troopers. It was literally a bazillion degrees and HUMID – we were all a nasty sweaty mess – but they didn’t complain once and still cuddled all cute with each other! The heat was also killing her poor bouquet so for the last couple of photos, we switched to the toss bouquet created by French Knot Studios. This thing is super cool because when thrown, the flowers separate so lots of girls can catch one – and on each stem is a fortune! And just to brag a bit more on my clever friend, French Knot Studios created this custom Charleston map scarf – the girl can do ANYTHING I tell you!We were all reminded that we were actually having a wedding show once final ceremony preparations were made and guests started to arrive! So many lovely ladies in one place!!How great are the antique church pews!?Charleston Groove Factory – is just that…they were great and kept everyone dancing till the very end!LaBruce and Harrison’s first dance was one of my favorite moments – they are just too cute for words and you can tell how much they adore each other.I loved getting to meet so many sweet women (and some dudes!) – y’all are all beautiful!
Sooooooo, what did you think? Pretty freaking fabulous, right!? I had so much doing this that I feel a little giveaway is in order!
