Yumei and Steven are getting married this coming September in Savannah, and my amazing Associate Photographer, Hannah, is going to be capturing their wedding. The couple met while in school at UGA, so it was only appropriate that we had a UGA engagement session! It’s such a beautiful campus, so it makes for a great place for photos. We walked around campus to find the perfect spots for Yumei and Steven’s session.
We started our session on the North Campus. The gorgeous columns and beautiful fountain made for great backdrops. For the first half of their session, Yumei and Steven went a little more formal with Steven wearing a navy suit jacket while Yumei wore a pretty floral dress. They looked great together! Wearing complementary outfits is always important when it comes to engagement sessions. These two kept laughing and cuddling up, making it so easy to capture them!
After our time on North Campus, we headed over to The Founder’s Garden. Yumei changed into an emerald dress and Steven wore a more comfortable button-down shirt for this part of their engagement session. The Founder’s Garden is over two acres, and it’s a perfect spot for engagement photos because it has so many different backgrounds and types of flora. In fact, it has over 300 different types of trees, shrubs, and perennials! So you get so many unique backgrounds. There’s a traditional garden, two courtyards, a terrace, a perennial garden, and arboretum areas. Not to mention, there are all the gorgeous buildings! The iron-wrought staircase also made for a great photo opportunity.
Engagement sessions are always wonderful because they’re a chance to get to know our amazing new couples and let them know how we work as photographers. Plus, when you have an engagement session, you can practice and get comfortable in front of the camera. We’d love to get to know you and learn all about your love story. Say hello, so we can start planning your session!
