I am so super over the moon excited to finally show off this incredible wedding. Not only do I love this wedding because Katy and Drew are dear friends, but it truly is a reflection of their personalities and style – down to the very last detail. And I just love weddings like this!
The day started with the girls getting ready at the most adorable house – chock full of antiquities for me to play with.
A girl after my own heart, Katy dipped her heels in blue glitter for her “Something blue.”I LOVED their invitation suite – which was all hand done by Katy – the antique typewriter provided the perfect backdrop.Katy’s lovely dress is from BHLDN and Madame Chrysanthemum created her stunning bouquet.Katy gifted floral robes to her maids so they could all get ready in style. The boys got ready in the Acuff’s carriage house – a house we have all grown to love! Each guy got a monogrammed pocket square and got to wear a belt in a fun color.Katy and Drew chose to do a First Look, which is my favorite. We picked a lovely place in a nearby square and then drove around downtown Savannah and Forsyth Park for photos before the ceremony. The ceremony and reception took place at the Southern Pine Company of Georgia. Katy, who is a sustainable furniture designer, smartly chose this location because its a salvage warehouse by day, event venue by night – and this was their first ever wedding! I must say that its now my favorite venue in Savannah! I just love its rustic charm. We like to add a little pizazz to our wedding day attire with bow ties and sequins (duh!!!!)A new favorite trend in weddings is displaying a hashtag for guests to use throughout the night. Its kinda the new “disposable camera”. Now you can have all of your guests’ photos in one spot across social media!Drew’ dad’s vintage airstream trailer made another appearance as a bar at the wedding = love!A DIY tissue paper pom pom backdrop softened the ceremony site. One of their best friends led the sweetest and most heartfelt and funny ceremony! One of the buildings was cleared for the dining hall – guests sat at reclaimed wood tables, mantels displayed family photos and adorable golden animals held name cards.Johnny Baker provided amazing food!My absolute favorite part of this wedding was this amazing dessert table. All the desserts, including the cake, were made by family members or friends and Katy’s sister decorated an old metal desk with lots of flowers, vintage cake stands and more adorable gold animals. Best I’ve ever seen!!Katy and Drew were cheered on by kuzus as they drove off into the night!
Katy and Drew! I love y’all! And your wedding was nothing short of amazing. I loved all of the thoughtful details and how you incorporated the things that mattered most. Thank you so much for having me document this for you! I hope you love the images as much as I do!
