Lindsey & Matt – Whitefield Chapel and The Plantation Club Wedding

Lindsey and Matt were married on the same day as Hana & Tommy, so they also kicked off my spring wedding season! This sweet couple had a beautiful and romantic wedding at Whitefield Chapel at Bethesda Academy, with a reception at The Landings Plantation Club. Lindsey assists Tara Skinner Events with planning, so every detail was thought out! This wedding was filled with sweet moments and unique details. One of my favorite details was the brides custom monogrammed handbag. It was completely beaded, and on one side had her initials, and the other was her wedding date! This was such a fun keepsake from her wedding day, that she will be able to use to celebrate her anniversaries!

Lindsey wore a taffeta gown with asymmetrical ruching, a tulle mermaid skirt, and a gorgeous sheer lace back. For the ceremony, she put on a cathedral veil that tucked into her beautiful and soft up-do. Matt wore a dark blue suit with a tie from Brackish that had blue and teal feathers. Overall, the couple’s looks were classic, with a touch of southern charm! The cutest dressed through? The flower girls! They were matching white satin and tulle dresses, and the cutest little flower crowns to match the brides bouquet!

The color palette was perfect for an end of winter wedding, with soft peaches, ivories, and lots of greenery and cotton. Additionally, peonies, garden roses, and hydrangeas were included in the centerpieces and bouquet. Candle lanterns covered in flowers lined the Whitefield Chapel aisle, as well as the entrance to the historic chapel.

The Plantation Club at The Landings

After the ceremony, the couple held a reception at The Plantation Club at The Landings in Savannah. The Plantation Club venue has a coastal feel, that is sophisticated, and has marsh views. Their décor matched the ceremony, with lots of greenery, magnolia leaves, and soft peaches. Not only did the couple have a first dance, but they also had a first dance with Matt’s two girls! It was a special moment, and so sweet!
