Mary Kate & Ryan – Savannah and Wormsloe Engagement Session

I am so excited to share this engagement session that took place at a marina, Wormsloe Plantation and lastly in downtown Savannah.  Mary Kate is one of my dearest friends and I am so honored to be a part of their special day as their Savannah wedding photographer. She works at Satchel, a locally owned boutique in downtown Savannah that sells custom leather handbags, as a Satchelette. She has worked at Satchel since she interned there in 2013 and loves it! Also, Mary Kate has the cutest style. She had three different dresses for each location, with the most fun jewelry and pops of color! And the dress she wore at Wormsloe is from a local boutique, Custard, in downtown Savannah.

Mary Kate and Ryan met here in Savannah, where Ryan was born and raised. Ryan proposed by the water, while they were drinking Moscow Mules. Ryan had her family and friends waiting for them at the marina, to help them celebrate after he popped the question.

Savannah Waterfront Engagement Session

Since they love the water so much, a waterfront session was the perfect idea for their engagement session. When planning engagement sessions, it is so important to do it somewhere that you both love and feels like home to you. For Mary Kate and Ryan, it included the historic Wormsloe Plantation and a local marina. (See more of my Wormsloe shoots here!)

We woke up early to avoid the harsh sun, but the weather was totally horrible and dreary, and foggy, and windy. Not ideal photoshoot weather! But that didn’t stop this sweet couple from giggling and having a blast!

Their wedding this October will take place at The Plantation Club, a gorgeous venue in Savannah with a coastal feel. Their color palette of muted red, white and blue will be perfect. I am so excited to be their wedding photographer this fall!
