Tessa and Matt’s wedding was a two-day affair. First, they had a formal downtown Charleston Wedding at Redeemer Presbyterian Church and reception at Halls Chophouse. Make sure to see the complete first day on my blog post, here! Their second day was a family filled backyard reception was at a friend’s private home in Charleston. This Charleston Backyard Wedding was filled with so many sweet details!
The couple had long wooden farm tables, lined with bright flowers by Fresh Weddings and Events, with fresh fruit for guests. I love using fresh food as elements of wedding décor! It’s a fun, inexpensive way to add some bright color, and give guests a snack! The centerpieces were filled with bright ranunculus, lots of greenery, and touches of pink, orange and purple. It was perfect for spring!
Tessa has impeccable style (seriously, check out her gorgeous Theia Couture gown and cape by Tatyana Merenyuk) For the second day of events, she wore a super cute ivory jumpsuit and simple jewelry. I love a bride in a jumpsuit!
The couple love The Office, and hey included funny one-liners from the show, on their cocktail napkins, cups, and even their cake! Their napkins included funny quotes like “That’s what she said.” And “I already feel like a better dancer”. But the best part was their custom cake by Wicked Fancy Cakes! This awesome cake had Michael’s World’s Best Boss as the top tier, with classic moments (including a Dundie award!) and cutouts of cast members. And of course, there was the teacup Jim gave Pam. And while there was a slight mishap with the cake table, the couple were having so much fun they didn’t care!
Guests danced the night away listening to Emerald Empire Band, and had a great time! Thank you, Tess and Matt, for allowing me to photograph both days of your amazing wedding weekend!
