Savannah Senior Session at Beaulieu Plantation

While I love shooting weddings and engagement sessions, I also love shooting portraits! Especially senior session! This is such a fun and important time for these Seniors, so it’s such a blast taking their pictures to celebrate. Sophie is a senior at Savannah Arts Academy and is a dear family friend. So when she asked for me to shoot her session, I got so excited! She is an incredible dancer, so we made sure she brought her ballet shoes to take some portraits with lots of movement. It really let us showcase her personality and passion, while also getting some more formal pictures her parents love.

Senior Session at Beaulieu Plantation

We did this senior session at Beaulieu Plantation, which is a gorgeous venue outside of Savannah. It is owned by one of my couple’s families and is such a perfect spot for weddings and events. It’s on Burnside Island which is quite secluded and gives you a ton of privacy. You also get beautiful coastal views and all of the iconic oak trees you could need! For the first part of her session, she wore two flowy floral dresses. One was blush pink, and another a bold red. I love when ladies wear flowy dresses, since it gives you something to do with your hands, and adds a touch of whimsy. Next, we headed down to the dock and water to get some of her dancing. Sophie slipped on her ballet slippers and did some beautiful moves. It really was so incredible to capture her as she leaped across the air, with so much joy on her face! You can just see her passion for dance in all of these pictures.
